Mark your calendar for Saturday September 20th from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. There will be: FREE FOOD LOTS OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS BLUEGRASS MUSIC LOTS OF GIVEAWAYS TWO DRAWINGS FOR MICROWAVE OVENS FIVE DRAWINGS FOR $100 IN FREE ELECTRICITY FOR BARC MEMBERS VENDORS WITH LOTS OF INFO ON ENERGY EFFICIENT APPLIANCES SAFETY DISPLAYS FROM BARC POLE CLIMBS AND BUCKET RIDES WITH PICTURES AVAILABLE And more… What do you need to do? Simply show up. Everything will be free. Members will have to register for the free electricity at the event but will not need to be present for the drawing to win. BARC is installing a new outage management system |

BARC is working with Futura Systems, Inc. of Tucker , Georgia to create a modern electric utility outage management system for the benefit of the BARC membership. This system will integrate industry standard engineering and mapping software from ESRI , outage management software from Milsoft Utility Solutions, Inc. , and BARC’s automatic meter reading system to create an outage management system that will give our dispatchers and outage managers the tools to locate outages quickly on a live, computerized electronic map of the BARC power system. |
